The Gallatin Planning Commission reviewed the final plat for Westside Markets of Greensboro Village, a six‑lot commercial development that will include the future Target site, during its work session.
Planning staff said the final plat is consistent with the previously approved preliminary plat and the final master development plan. “This is for the final plat for a 6 lot commercial development. This is where the future Target will be located,” a staff member said, adding that the project has received predominantly approved construction plans.
Ken Knuckles, representing developer CHM and Development Management Group, told commissioners his team was available to answer questions and confirmed they were negotiating “a letter today” regarding a contribution for a traffic signal with engineering. “We have a letter today about that. Right. So yeah, we're working through that,” Knuckles said.
Staff indicated only minor changes remain and that the traffic signal contribution will be resolved before building permits are issued. No formal vote or action was recorded at the work session; the item was scheduled to return to the commission in a subsequent meeting for final procedural steps.
The commission did not raise substantive objections to the plat at the session and treated the item as largely consistent with prior approvals; commissioners said they expected to see the item again for final ministerial processing.
