The Carson Reclamation Authority on Monday approved consent items that amend the preconstruction contract with general contractor Snyder Langston, moving the preconstruction period to April 15 and setting a likely notice to proceed for April 14 or 15, authority staff told the board.
The change clears the way for contractor mobilization by the end of April and an anticipated start of on-site construction in early May. Authority members approved the consent package, including the amendment, by roll call; the motion carried with Authority Chair Davis Holmes absent.
Authority staff told the board the amendment extends earlier deadline adjustments. “This is the pre construction contract with, Snyder Langston who's a general contractor for the construction of the road,” staff said, and noted the preconstruction period had previously been extended from November to January and February before the latest change to April 15.
