Building and grounds committee presents proposal to reconstruct tipping floor at transfer facility

David Spicer, speaking on behalf of the building and grounds committee, told commissioners the committee reviewed a proposal from TRC to reconstruct the tipping floor at the county transfer facility and now presents that proposal to the full board for consideration.
"TRC had sent the proposal, for, the reconstruction of, Tipping Floor for our transfer facility. This is something that has been ongoing for a little while. Once we got this proposal, our building and grounds committee met and reviewed the proposal," Spicer said.
Spicer said the committee discussed outstanding questions and reviewed the materials prior to presenting to the board. The presentation in the meeting was informational; the committee asked the board to consider next steps so the project can move forward.
Later in the meeting staff described a separate approved line'item transfer to purchase a used truck for the transfer facility; commissioners approved that line'item transfer by voice vote.
No contract award for TRC was recorded at this meeting. The record shows the committee brought the proposal forward and recommended the board consider action at a subsequent meeting after additional review.
