Rosalie Myhand, codes official, told the Board of Zoning Appeals that planning staff will no longer be provided under the city’s contract with GNRC and that the city is moving to retain an independent planning consultant. She said the board will meet the new consultant at the May meeting.
Myhand also said the city is actively recruiting a full‑time administrative assistant (listed in the budget as office manager) for the building office; the posting drew about 25 applicants. Myhand said the position will be responsible for taking minutes for both the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Planning Commission.
No formal vote or ordinance action was recorded on the agenda; the remarks were presented as staff updates.
