The Contoocook Valley School District board approved several administrative items at its meeting, including the district manifest, a personnel reassignment, a chemical-safety policy adoption and the acceptance of gifts.
The board voted to approve the manifest totaling $1,461,993.60. The motion to approve was made and carried by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded on the public transcript.
The board accepted the resignation of Ben Mentor from his role as director of special education and approved his nomination to become the full-time school psychologist at Contoocook Valley High School beginning in the 2025–26 school year. Superintendent Dr. Forrest told the board the high school psychologist position had been budgeted previously; the district had been using contracted services until a permanent hire could be placed. The board approved the personnel action and the administration said the director of special education position will be posted to fill that vacancy.
The board adopted the EBCH policy (chemical safety and chemical hygiene plan), incorporating language drawn from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) flammable and combustible liquids code. Janine Lasser, policy committee chair, said the committee had addressed a question from a board member and recommended adoption. The board approved the policy by voice vote.
The board accepted three gifts with gratitude: support from the Ladies Aid Society to help fund students on an American Heritage tour (amount not specified in the packet); a $900 donation from Wendy Dunning to offset costs for a South Meadow trip; and a $566 donation in supplies from LeMay's Black Belt Academy of Jaffrey Road in Peterborough for Pierce School. Each gift was approved by motion and vote.
At the end of the public meeting the board voted to enter nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A:3, II for personnel matters. A roll-call confirmation was recorded on the transcript; individual board members responded "yes" to the move into nonpublic session.
The board did not take additional public votes on policy revisions or on other calendar or program items at this meeting; several items were discussed and deferred for further review.
