The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority (MBA) confirmed Tuesday that bids for the county clinic project will be publicly opened at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and that bids must be submitted by that time.
The announcement follows an update from Bart, who said the project plans and specifications have been posted and contractors should be able to download them and prepare bids. "It's been advertised...the bid opening will be on the April 22. And the bids are due at 9AM," Bart told the authority.
The MBA clarified procedural details for contractors: the bid advertisement states bids will be received at the Daggett County building or electronically by email until 9 a.m. on April 22, at which time they will be publicly opened. Questions about the solicitation must be submitted in writing by 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, according to the public notice shared in the meeting.
Authority members also discussed logistics for the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Bart said the pre-bid will be open to interested contractors and that a Zoom link is included in the advertisement for virtual attendance. MBA staff agreed the public bid announcement suffices for notice and that a separate MBA agenda item is not required for the pre-bid review, which the authority described as a question-and-answer, compliance-focused session rather than a formal decision meeting.
MBA staff asked that the April 22 bid opening be listed on the MBA meeting notice and that the advertised deadline be corrected if necessary; the authority agreed to confirm and repost the timeline on the procurement site and to reiterate the deadline at the mandatory pre-bid meeting.
Next steps: the authority will proceed with the advertised schedule, accept written questions through April 17 at 5 p.m., and publicly open bids at 9 a.m. on April 22, 2025. The authority said it will confirm the deadline language on the public notice and reiterate the schedule at the pre-bid session.
