Daggett County RDA to file easement court materials; closed‑session request noted

Daggett County Redevelopment Agency officials said court materials related to an easement and eminent‑domain matter would be filed on the afternoon of April 1, county legal counsel said during the Daggett County Commission meeting.

The county's attorney, Kent Snyder, told commissioners that staff had received an email from a colleague and had to “pull up the actual tape” to show that the issue was tabled on March 11 and continued to Feb. 25, and that the documents will be filed that day. Snyder said staff had reached out to opposing counsel to try to stipulate and avoid further delay. "So it should be filed this afternoon," he said.

The discussion centered on ongoing court proceedings over an easement and an eminent‑domain action. According to Snyder, parties were checking with outside counsel (named in the meeting as Eric Dotline) and there is at least one parcel in the Industrial Draw area implicated in the proceedings.

Separately, a caller identified in the meeting as Matt Lucas requested a closed session with county officials; meeting participants said they would discuss that request later in a closed session.

No formal court filings, dates of hearings, or specific case numbers were provided during the public portion of the meeting. Commissioners received the status update from counsel and directed staff to proceed with filing and follow up on any stipulation discussions.

The RDA item was raised during the commissioners' "issue updates" portion of the April 1 meeting; participants then recessed for a municipal building authority meeting and returned to additional business afterward.
