At its April 3 meeting the board approved new test specifications for the certified hydrogeologist examination, which staff said will take effect in October 2025.
Larry Kereste, the board—s exam manager, presented the new test specifications and said the materials and change summary are included in the board packet. After brief discussion and no public testimony in opposition, a motion to approve the plan was made and seconded; the board then held a roll-call vote.
The roll call recorded unanimous approval. President Wong and the full voting panel recorded —yes— on the motion to adopt the new test specifications. Kereste said the test-specs will be posted and the staff will provide implementation details to affected candidates and programs.
Board members asked staff to continue outreach to stakeholders prior to the October implementation and to provide exam totals after the spring exam administration.
