Smart Shuttle operator presents 5,000 signatures, asks council for bridge funding as current funding nears expiration

The council did not take immediate action on the request during the public comment period; councilmembers acknowledged receipt of the statement and the signatures. No motion or commitment of bridge funding was recorded in the meeting minutes.
The representative identified the magnitude of rider support (5,000 signatures) and urged the city to provide temporary funding to prevent an immediate service interruption.
