Cochise College to host Expo at Sierra Vista campus to showcase programs, dual enrollment and financial aid

Robin Martin, assistant dean for marketing, communications and advancement at Cochise College, said the college will host its fourth annual Cochise College Expo at the Sierra Vista campus next Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The expo is billed as a campus open house that will bring together programs from the college's multiple campuses and county locations in one spot. "It really is a huge massive open house where we're showcasing all of the programs that the college has to offer," Martin said on KWCD's First Watch.

Martin said the expo will include indoor and outdoor booths, hands‑on demonstrations from technical and allied‑health programs, and smaller round‑table info sessions where prospective students and families can ask staff and faculty questions. "We have our representative from dual enrollment... they'll be providing some more information where it's kind of a not a 1 on 1 because it's smaller tables," she said.

The college will offer staff to explain the FAFSA process, scholarships and the college's senior scholarship, which Martin said guarantees a scholarship for any student graduating from a Cochise County high school. She urged residents who cannot attend to contact financial‑aid staff directly for help completing applications.

Martin said the expo helps residents see program options such as welding, nursing, allied health and first‑responder training and to learn how to apply and access financial aid.

The assistant dean invited families and prospective students to attend Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Cochise College's Sierra Vista campus.
