Staff emphasized that the Sheriff's Office is not a revenue generator and that the agreement is intended to provide public-safety coverage and allow problem solving under local ordinances when needed.
The mayor of Foyil addressed the board briefly to thank commissioners. Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
Staff assigned to the Sheriff's Office will implement the interlocal agreement and coordinate scheduling with the town.
