She said the center’s hotline answered “over a thousand calls” and that staff provided more than 24,000 individualized services in 2024 — about double the center’s reported services in 2023. Henehos also said a new shelter will open in early 2026.
The proclamation text included recognition of local survivors and the county’s support for prevention education, and it acknowledged the role of the center’s staff and volunteers in providing wraparound services.
