Commission approves a slate of routine contracts and amendments including elevator maintenance, irrigation service and uniform amendment

Cole County commissioners approved a group of routine procurement and contract items at their April 8 meeting, including an addendum to an assessor contract, annual irrigation service for the health department, a sheriff uniform amendment, elevator maintenance renewal and payment for an HVAC inverter repair.

Staff presented an addendum to the assessor’s contract with the Nunn Company to add a “not-to-exceed” amount of $15,000; the commission approved the addendum. Commissioners then approved a $235 annual irrigation maintenance agreement for the health department; the parks department will manage the service and costs will be charged to parks landscaping/facilities budgets.

The sheriff’s department requested an amendment to a uniform services contract with Leon Uniform Company to add two badge types; the commission approved the amendment and staff said it was a minor addition and relatively low cost.

The commission approved the third renewal of the elevator maintenance and repair services with Otis Elevator Company, accepting a proposed 3.5% increase that makes the annual contract $16,100.

Staff also presented bills for a repair to a 480-volt inverter at the Prager Family Center and requested the county pay $20,007.94 for parts and repairs; the commission approved payment and classified it as a capital expense for the facility.

The meeting also included an appointment and other routine matters, but those were taken under separate agenda items.
