Commissioners flagged the posting because state law and county procedure require public notice for official meetings. The board did not adopt any change to its notice policy at the April 3 session; rather, members instructed staff to verify whether the physical posting complied with deadlines and, if not, to re-run affected items at a future business meeting or place them on the consent calendar.
The discussion occurred near the start of the meeting, before public comment and substantive personnel items. Commissioners Eberline, Duncan and Chair Metoyer all voted in favor of proceeding with the agenda as amended.
