Monongalia County approves deputy sheriff hire and youth services worker transfer to full time

The Monongalia County Commission approved two personnel actions Sept. 17: hiring a full-time deputy sheriff and making a part-time youth crisis worker full-time.
Tammy White, speaking for the sheriff's office, announced the hiring of Anthony Carmen as a full-time deputy sheriff with benefits. County staff said Carmen's wages will be $4,691.67 monthly and $56,300.28 annually. Commissioners voted to approve the hire.
The commission also approved the transfer of Emmanuel Tolliver from part-time to full-time status at the Youth Services Center, with an official full-time start date of Oct. 1.
Both personnel actions were approved by voice vote during the meeting. The commission briefly recessed the administrative hearing and then reconvened to consider the hires; no conditions or appeals were recorded during the approvals.
