Chairman Kennedy said the Drain Commissioner was unable to attend because of a doctor’s appointment and that the report and a planned 50-year service award would be presented in person once a year. “I’m gonna refer this to the administrator’s office because I believe he has to present this in person once a year,” Chairman Kennedy said.
Public comment consisted of one speaker, James Bennett Jr., identified as from Columbia Township, who told the board he did not have substantive remarks but wanted to be recorded in the meeting minutes. No other members of the public spoke.
During commissioner comments, Commissioner Bair observed the board “almost didn’t have a meeting” because of absences. Chairman Kennedy said Commissioner Dukham is facing “pretty serious health issues,” and the record shows Commissioner Pulaski had notified the board he would not attend.
The meeting concluded after a motion by Commissioner Bair to adjourn, which received support. No closed session was held and no formal votes on ordinances, contracts, budgets, or other substantive policy items were recorded.
