Hardee County school board approves routine minutes, policies, travel reimbursements, demolition report submission and appraisal invoice

The Hardee County School Board on Feb. 27 approved a slate of routine and administrative items, including the final adoption of advertised policy revisions, reimbursement for board travel to Florida School Board Association events, submission of a demolition report for Hardy High School, and an appraisal invoice for district property.

The board voted unanimously on the motions recorded on the agenda; Board member Gilliard was absent and recorded as such. Motions were made and seconded by various board members, with no prolonged public discussion on the items.

Board actions taken at the meeting included approval of workshop and regular meeting minutes from Feb. 10; final adoption of attached proposed policies that were advertised under the Administrative Procedures Act; authorization for board members to attend FSBA regional events with travel reimbursement; approval to submit the Castaldi report for demolition of Hardy High School to the Florida Department of Education's Office of Educational Facilities; and…
