Jeff (county staff member) said environmental-impact studies for Dakota Pacific are underway and that the county has submitted a small qualifying HTRZ (housing and transportation zone) site in Kimball Junction as part of the county’s moderate-income housing plan. Jeff said that under new legislation the HTRZ designation might be moved to the Dakota Pacific site.
Board members and staff agreed to invite representatives from the Utah Department of Transportation and other highway agencies to present on congestion, planned improvements and the project’s traffic implications.
