The commission found the application consistent with Rockville land use code chapter 4 and the Rockville general plan.
Crossland said clients will not come to the house for services and that he has provided a letter of consent from the homeowner, Allison Thomas. Commissioners asked about traffic, signage and state licensing; Crossland confirmed there will be no on-site signage and said he has an EIN and appropriate permissions for the business name.
The commission's motion approving the permit reiterates that a home occupation must be accessory and secondary to residential use and that the applicant must reside at the location as required by state code 10-1-203 (cited in the motion). The motion was seconded and carried by roll call.
Crossland was told to complete the town's paperwork and to follow local sign and parking rules.
