Vice Chairman Russell Bridal introduced the item and moved to form the committee; the motion was seconded. The council said the task force will include appointees from the county and the city of Camden and will operate until at least June 1, 2025. Councilman Thomason agreed to serve for the county and file his appointment; community members including Linda Moore and Jonathan Bazinet had agreed to participate and more appointments were pending confirmation.
Vice Chairman Bridal said the task force was requested by county council members and designed to work jointly with city appointees to identify concerns and opportunities for equestrian businesses and property owners. No funding actions were taken at the meeting; the council characterized the group as advisory and asked staff to arrange initial meetings once all appointees are finalized.
