Garmon Construction informed the board that ASI 8, a change order for awning lighting, would be paid by Garmon out of its fee so the project can proceed at no additional cost to the county. Commissioners accepted the change order at no net cost.
A separate change order (number 60) to repair a roof leak at a county building was approved and accepted by the board. Commissioners also approved a recommendation from recycling staff to place orders for a glass processing machine and a can‑compaction device from budgeted solid‑waste funds. Staff said the prices quoted matched the amounts budgeted and one vendor had warned of an impending price increase after April 1; commissioners authorized ordering to accelerate delivery and avoid the price hike.
Recycling‑center staff said equipment purchases are funded from previous budget allocations for the new recycling facility; the board said the auditor’s office should issue checks immediately so vendors can begin processing orders.
