Ultimately the redevelopment deal collapsed and the board subsequently rescinded its trade agreement with the county when the redevelopment failed to close.
Board members noted the county now appears to be seeking opportunities to dispose of or reposition Crestview/Crescent properties and that renewed redevelopment interest is likely. Directors said RA should use the historical record to avoid repeating past valuation errors and to protect park and housing interests, and they recommended including this background material in onboarding materials for new board members so future deliberations start from a full understanding of prior agreements and liabilities.
