Grantsville City Council voted on March 5 to approve a water rights transfer and banking agreement with DABMK LLC that allows the city to bank 12.6 acre-feet of water on behalf of the company.
Staff explained the water was already banked with the city and originally had been dedicated to a subdivision that is no longer being developed. The agreement clarifies the status of the banked credits and confirms the applicant—s ability to transfer those credits for other uses, per the terms of the agreement.
A motion to approve the banking agreement was made, seconded and carried by the council. The resolution and associated agreement were accepted during the council's business agenda.
