The Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0 April 2 to approve a rezoning for the Countrywide Fry Road campus, adopting an addendum memorandum that revised condition number 2 and deleted condition number 4.
The rezoning was the lone item on the consent agenda and had been briefed at a previous study session, commission members said. Vice Chair Kochel made the motion to accept the consent agenda as presented with the addendum memorandum; the motion was seconded (second not specified in the record) and carried unanimously. Chair Heumann presided.
No unscheduled public appearances were recorded during the meeting and commissioners did not request further discussion on the rezoning item after the addendum was introduced. The commission’s minutes from the previous meeting were noted as to be addressed at an upcoming meeting.
Commissioners present for the vote were Chair Heumann; Vice Chair Kochel; and Commissioners Quinn, Barrichello, Gala, Schwartzer and Bilstein. Commissioner Barkella called in and was excused for the meeting.
The commission canceled its April 16 meeting and will next meet May 7. The meeting adjourned after approval of the consent agenda.
