Commissioner Armin Reyes moved to nominate Gloria Polito for chair; Commissioner Chowhan seconded the nomination. The commission then voted to confirm the appointment by roll call, with the motion passing by a 4-0 vote. Following a short recess to reorganize at the dais, commissioners nominated and confirmed Armin Reyes as vice chair by the same 4-0 margin.
The reorganization took place at the start of the special and regular meetings convened simultaneously on April 2. Commissioner Gaveri was recorded as absent for the meeting. Director Aguilar and staff remained available to assist with procedural and administrative needs during the reorganization.
The newly elected chair and vice chair took their seats and then continued with the evening's agenda, including public hearings and project reviews.
