Council moved and seconded approval of the change order and a related budget amendment authorizing the transfer from the Beach Maintenance excess reserve fund to cover the cost. No members of the public spoke on the item during the meeting, and council approved the change order by voice vote.
Baverca said crews collected the extra material and that the city will need to manage dredged material on island property, noting future work to hydromulch and stabilize the material placed on the beach. Council did not request additional changes to the contract at the meeting.
The council’s action authorizes payment for the additional cubic yards and the related budget amendment; staff will proceed with the remaining post‑dredging stabilization work and associated accounting.
