The Historic Design Review Commission opened its April 2 meeting with a roll call and then approved minutes from the March 19, 2025 meeting. "I move for approval of the meeting minutes for 03/19/2025," a commissioner said; the roll-call vote recorded Castillo — Aye; Savino — Aye; Velasquez — Aye; Mazuca — Aye; Kivada — Aye; Vasquez — Aye; Cervantes — Yes; Fetzer — Aye; Gibbs (Chair) — Aye. The motion carried.
The commission also approved the consent agenda (which included cases for properties at 1020 Burnett and 1108 South Flores among others). Prior to the consent vote a commissioner asked to pull Item 2 for separate consideration. After the consent motion and vote carried, staff noted that Item 4 (803 North Cherry) is postponed and will be heard at a future date while staff continues internal stakeholder work on signage language.
Staff reminded applicants that certificates of appropriateness or commission action letters will be emailed within 10 days and that no work should begin until required city permits are obtained and a certificate of appropriateness has been issued by the Office of Historic Preservation.
