The measure, introduced in committee by Representative Nash, would prohibit a municipality from "require[ing] a planned unit development agreement in lieu of a proposed residential development, if the proposed residential development complies with the existing zoning ordinance already," Nash said. He described the bill as an effort "to make housing more available and affordable" by reducing duplicative processes cities sometimes impose.
