Committee unanimously advances cleanup bill for rebate program, sets application deadline to DEQ

The House Energy Committee reported Senate Bill 469 out "do pass" by a 10-0 vote after the bill's supporter described it as technical cleanup language for an existing rebate program.
Chairman Bowles told members that Senate Bill 469 was requested by the Petroleum Alliance and clarifies application timelines for the Oklahoma Mission Reduction Technology rebate program. "This bill requires all rebate payment applications under the program to be submitted to the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality no later than 6 months prior to the ending of the program, which is, 07/01/2027," Bowles said, adding that the bill previously passed the Senate 40-5.
There was no substantive debate on the measure. The committee voted 10 aye, 0 nay and reported the bill out "do pass."
