Cindy Nava, Cerritos city clerk, read the semi-official citywide totals for the March 4, 2025, Cerritos General Municipal Election on March 4 during a public broadcast of the final count.
Nava read citywide totals for candidates in ballot order: “Adrian Iu, 275; Jennifer Hong, 3,582; Ricky Wen Hao, 437; Esther Wong, 779; Riaz Serti, 2,794; Mark Pulido, 3,900; Sofia Se, 3,387.” She then read totals for two charter amendment measures: “Measure J — Yes: 4,820; No: 2,593. Measure K — Yes: 5,745; No: 1,626.”
The totals Nava read are semi-official. Precinct totals and the semi-official totals will be posted on the city’s election results page at cerritos.gov/results and in the city clerk’s office, she said. Nava also said the results will become official when certified by the city council at a scheduled meeting on Wednesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in the city council chamber.
The reading provided the citywide vote counts only; Nava noted precinct-level totals would be published online and in the clerk’s office for review. No formal action or final certification took place at the reading; certification was scheduled for the March 19 council meeting.
Cindy Nava concluded the broadcast by thanking viewers on Cerritos TV 3 and YouTube and reminding residents that the city would post precinct-by-precinct totals and additional election information on cerritos.gov/results.
