The Baldwin County local legislative delegation voted to give a favorable report to HB 485, an annexation request to bring a property in Loxley into city limits, a representative said.
Representative Gibbs described the parcel as adjoining city limits except for an intervening driveway and said the property owner, Andy Potola, requested city inclusion. Gibbs told the delegation there was no opposition among neighbors and that the matter exists only because of the driveway; “if not for a driveway, the property would be contiguous to the city limits,” he said.
A motion for a favorable report was offered and seconded; the chair announced that the ayes had it and the bill received a favorable report. No public commenters or objections were recorded on the transcript.
The transcript records the delegation’s favorable report only; subsequent legislative steps, precise vote tally, and any municipal approvals required after delegation action were not recorded during the meeting.
