County approves $206,813 contract with Pathfinder Network for stabilization mentor services

The Marion County Board of Commissioners approved a contract for services on April 2 with the Pathfinder Network in the amount of $206,813 to expand a stabilization mentor program supporting clients of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Lieutenant Anna Jefferson of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Community Corrections Division told the board the sheriff’s office temporarily closed the transition center while preparing to reopen the Stabilization Center, which affected programs funded through justice-reinvestment allocations. The local public-safety coordinating council approved reallocating unspent justice‑reinvestment funds to support the stabilization mentor program. The sheriff’s office issued a request for proposals in January and selected the Pathfinder Network as the provider.
Jefferson said mentors provide direct services both at the stabilization center and in the Public Safety Building. She described mentors as having lived experience who provide resource navigation, referral supports, peer support and cognitive‑behavioral programming for clients. The contract runs through Dec. 31, 2025.
The board approved the contract by motion and voice vote.
