County launches coordinated residential and commercial parking initiative to tackle complaints

Prince William County unveiled a new, countywide parking initiative on April 1 aimed at coordinating enforcement, data collection, education and infrastructure responses to a rise in parking complaints across business districts and neighborhoods.
Deputy County Executive Dan Alexander introduced the program during County Executive time, saying complaints grew slightly from about 5,800 in 2023 to roughly 5,900 in 2024 while citations issued have increased over the past five years (about 13,215 in 2023 to ~14,430 in 2024).
