The Broken Arrow Municipal Authority awarded the construction contract for Phase 2A of the County Line trunk sewer to Belt Construction, following a staff recommendation and reference to the firm’s successful completion of Phase 1.
Emily Roland, environmental division manager, summarized the project history: Phase 1 was built in 2019 from the land-plant area to north of Fire Station 3; Phase 2A will continue the alignment to just north of New Orleans Street (approx. 101st) and replace aging pipe while increasing capacity to accommodate projected growth.
Roland told trustees that Belt Construction’s bid aligned with the engineer’s estimate and that staff were confident in the contractor’s prior performance on Phase 1. Trustees approved the award by roll call and asked staff to bring construction scheduling and updates back to the authority during the project.
Authority staff will finalize the contract and return with an expected construction timeline and progress reporting schedule.
