The council approved the first round of FY2025 departmental and fund appropriation adjustments, reflecting one‑time project carryovers and reallocation of previously approved funds. Staff said the adjustments include reappropriation of unspent FY2024 one‑time General Fund items, reallocation to complete ongoing Tidelands projects, and a recommendation to reallocate $419,840 to extend the Rescue‑2 peak‑load emergency response unit for the remainder of FY2025.
Financial Management staff said the appropriation adjustments are technical and routine and reflect carryover of funds for projects already approved by the council. The council adopted the recommended changes and the extension funding for Rescue‑2; councilmembers thanked staff for the analysis and the effort to identify funding without increasing new general fund ongoing commitments.
