Cottonwood Heights council approves Butlerville Days contracts, advisory appointments and $30 million preliminary bond statement

The Cottonwood Heights City Council unanimously approved four resolutions and handled several routine items at its meeting.
The council voted to approve and ratify a performance contract with Open Sky Productions for the Jerome show as part of Butlerville Days (Resolution 2025-19) and to approve a fireworks display contract with Vortex Productions for Butlerville Days (Resolution 2025-20). Both measures were moved and seconded and passed with all council members present voting yes.
The council also approved Resolution 2025-21 appointing Tammy Sumption and Isaiah Depilar to the Health in the Heights Advisory Committee. Council members were presented with the candidate names and voted to confirm the appointments.
On a separate item, the council approved Resolution 2025-22, adopting a preliminary official statement concerning the potential issuance of up to $30,000,000 of general obligation refunding and improvement bonds and related matters. The resolution authorized staff to proceed with the preliminary official statement; it does not itself issue bonds or finalize financing. Council members had no recorded questions during the vote.
Other meeting actions included tabling corrections to the March 4 meeting minutes until the next council meeting and an adjournment vote to close the business meeting.
