Purchase-order modification for solid-waste vehicle replacement: The council approved a purchase-order modification with Rush Truck Centers in the amount of $62,583.80, increasing a purchase order for replacement solid-waste rear-loader vehicles to a not-to-exceed total of $1,000,591.51. Staff said the purchases replace aging vehicles (some model years cited in staff remarks included 1997, 2002, 2005 and 2006) to reduce maintenance costs and improve crew safety. The motion passed on a unanimous vote (Barich, Tejeda, Davis, Mayor Pro Tem Shaw and Mayor Salcedo voted yes).
