So hiring is tough. So we brought the background checks in line with the current Medicaid requirements, and also cut out the, registry check, because we, felt that the state police check they have to do every 5 years was very sufficient." Cook said the amendment responded to concerns raised by a provider and that "everybody's fine with it now." No members of the public appeared to speak for or against SB 120 on the record.
