Bonner County commissioners voted to approve a resolution vacating a portion of Olney Boulevard located in Section 3, Township 56 North, Range 2 West, Boise Meridian, Idaho.
County planning staff told the board the right-of-way is confined to private property and that there is no existing road or public access associated with it. Alex Phan, planning staff, summarized the file and legal review and told commissioners it appeared appropriate for the board to sign the resolution. "It would be appropriate as the board to sign the resolution," Phan said.
The action takes the form of a formal resolution that legal and the Land Records Department reviewed to confirm ownership and accuracy. Commissioners asked staff to clarify that no road currently exists in the right-of-way before voting; a commissioner noted publicly that "there isn't even a road in existence there" as a point of clarification for residents.
The board put forward the motion to approve "resolution number 2020Five-twenty3, vacating a portion of Olney Boulevard located in Section 3, Township 56 North, Range 2 West, Boise Meridian, Idaho." There was no public comment. The resolution passed by roll call vote with all present commissioners voting yes.
The resolution record and the county land-records update will follow administrative processing. The county clerk and land-records staff reviewed ownership and legal descriptions as part of the packet provided to commissioners.
