County schedules series of town halls across Clear Creek County for spring and summer outreach

The Board of County Commissioners developed a schedule for a series of community town halls intended to reach unincorporated and municipal areas across Clear Creek County. Megan presented a proposed calendar and the board selected dates and alternates for several locations.
Planned sessions and tentative dates: Saint Mary's (May 6 or May 12), an Emerge-hosted meeting (May 28), Dumont/Deer Lake/Dumont area (June 5 or June 9 at the Dumont Fire Station), Idaho Springs (June 25 or June 26), Floyd Hill (July 23 or July 30), and Georgetown/Silver Plume/Empire (options in early August: August 5, 11 or 13). The board asked staff to add an Idaho Springs session and to consider an outreach meeting in the Brook Forest neighborhood later in the season.
Commissioners emphasized that the town halls should be timed for evenings where possible to increase attendance, and they discussed content priorities: budget and ballot measures, local infrastructure projects (Fall River Road at Saint Mary's; Floyd Hill construction), public safety updates in the Georgetown area, and short presentations on county goals. The board asked staff to coordinate logistics, advise on hybrid/Zoom capability where available, and prepare concise, community-focused talking points and printed materials for distribution.
The county will publicize the schedule in its newsletter and via social channels once final dates and venues are confirmed.
