Putnam County Commission approves routine appointments, budget amendments and equipment sale; awards grant announced

The Putnam County Commission on Tuesday approved a slate of routine administrative items, including election of officers, committee appointments, quarterly fund reports and budget amendments.

Elections and committee appointments: The commission approved Cassidy as commission chair, Ben Rogers as chairman pro tem and Jonathan Williams as parliamentarian, each on motions recommended by the nominating committee. The commission also approved recommendations for minutes-committee membership and joint economic development committee appointments. The commission reappointed Mark Harris as County Veterans Service Officer for a four-year term. The commission ratified appointments to the ethics committee and named five members to the rules committee.

Financial and administrative items: The commission accepted quarterly reports for the road fund, school fund, county general fund, debt service fund, solid waste and sanitation fund, parks and recreation fund and self-insurance fund. The fiscal review committee…
