The Kosciusko County Planning Commission approved a preliminary plat for a one‑lot AG‑2 subdivision filed by Brad Showalter. The parcel, previously rezoned earlier in the year, will proceed to final plat once technical items are satisfied.
Brad Showalter told the commission the house on the north end had been removed and that the proposed development would place a new home on the south side of the remaining parcel. He said nothing substantive had changed since the rezoning hearing in January.
Planning staff noted legal notice requirements had been met and that health and other technical comments would need to be addressed before final plat. The commission approved the preliminary plat by motion. Planning staff said the matter is set for final plat at a future meeting and could be scheduled as early as next month.
