The City of Evansville Board of Public Safety approved a slate of routine consent items on Feb. 26, including street and parking requests, temporary dumpster permits, business and operator license renewals, truck permits and approval of claims and minutes.
Items approved included lane restrictions and use of parking spaces for the West Side Nut Club fall festival, food-truck parking for events at Old National Events Plaza, a water main tap lane restriction at 2042 Lincoln Ave., and multiple temporary dumpster placements for residential and remodeling work. The board approved parking permits and vehicle updates for contractors, renewal of a taxi driver license for David Goblach of Dave's Taxi, renewal of a massage-therapy business license for Jim's Deep Muscle Massage and a pedal‑cab renewal for a downtown operator.
The board also approved truck permits for excavation contractors and formally approved claims and the meeting minutes from Feb. 5, 2025. The board scheduled its next meeting for March 12, 2025 and adjourned at the end of the session.
Most consent items were routine approvals with staff confirmation that operational requirements (insurance, barricades, lane restrictions and inspector follow‑up) will be met as outlined in the agenda materials.
