Fox Meadow Middle School tells Harrison Board it is improving attendance and classroom culture, plans double-block instruction for ELA and math

Fox Meadow Middle School presented an update to the Harrison School District 2 Board of Education on March 19, describing changes in staffing, supports and instruction that school leaders say have improved school culture and student engagement.

The presentation, given by the principal of Fox Meadow Middle School, said the school currently has 57 total staff, including 31 full-time teachers, two counselors, two social workers, two student success center staff, one social-emotional wellness specialist, one psychologist and one dean of relative practices. The principal said the school is on “improvement status” and is implementing a block schedule next year that will double-block ELA and provide targeted interventions and extension activities.
