At its meeting, the Woodruff Town Board approved the minutes for February and the bills for March by voice vote and said it will discuss a response from the Herreras to an offer letter in closed session.
Chair Monica Scholtes asked for a motion to approve the February minutes; a motion and a second were made and the board approved the minutes by voice vote. Later the board moved to approve the March bills; again, a motion and second were followed by a voice vote favoring approval.
Earlier in the meeting, Scholtes reported the board had received a response from the Herreras to an offer letter and that the matter "will be discussed at a closed session." No details of the offer or the Herreras' response were stated in the public portion of the meeting.
Members also exchanged brief updates on local development: a board member said the Stewarts now appear likely to rent or buy a house in Mountain Fuel because utilities costs make building unaffordable, and that they might not build a new structure as previously discussed. The board asked Scott to follow up with county staff (Brandon) about a stop sign by Pete’s house.
A community member asked whether "Paul’s grandma" could be named an honorary for the town parade; board members said they would discuss it with absent members Scott and Raymond and add the request to the next meeting’s agenda. The potential honoree was described as being in her nineties. No formal action was taken on the parade nomination at this meeting.
