He said the team discussed existing truck routes, intends to include truck-route designations in the plan and hopes to present a draft for council review by the end of the month or in early April.
Funding remains uncertain, councilmembers said, and they noted that federal funding programs and state boards can be unpredictable. As part of the plan, staff will identify candidate turn-lane locations under access-management standards and prioritize roadway segments for repair or improvement.
No formal council vote was taken on the plan at this meeting. Councilmembers said the next project meeting is scheduled for March 19 and they expected to have materials available for council consideration by a future meeting date.
