Residents report website date issues; board agrees to centralize website and notes several records requests

A resident told the Huntington Township supervisors she received a forwarded agenda showing an incorrect date in the email subject line, and the board voted to adopt Huntington@PADF.net as the township’s official website and to coordinate a county webpage link to avoid future confusion.

Marie DiVancheti said she forwarded an agenda and the subject line defaulted to "agenda 11/12/2002," which made it hard to confirm the correct meeting date. The board discussed using a single official site and making the county’s web link redirect to the township site so residents find one authoritative source for minutes and agendas.

Township staff said minutes for 2024 and 2025 are already posted and that Christina (the staff member handling uploads) and Patricia Davis, the township secretary/treasurer, are currently responsible for posting minutes. The board encouraged departmental chairs to confirm items are posted after approval.

The board also reviewed a set of record requests and related appeals submitted by multiple requesters. The transcript lists requests seeking emails, invoices, contracts with the township’s website vendor (Misfit Interactive), planning and meeting minutes (including Aug. 26, 2024 and Sept. 12, 2024 minutes), and communications among auditors and township staff. One item was described in the meeting as an appeal regarding a video taken by an auditor on a personal phone.

The board tabled no action on the record requests during the meeting beyond acknowledging the filings; staff were asked to process responses according to applicable records procedures.
