Chuck, the township roadmaster, reported winter maintenance and confirmed the Rolling Road culvert replacement has been completed after the township obtained the necessary permit. He requested board approval to rent a roller for base repairs at $1,800 for a month and to rent a crack sealer with materials at $6,500 to address freeze-thaw damage. The board approved the rentals.
During public comment, Betsy (Elizabeth) Howard thanked the board for the new culvert but said residents on Lehi Road were not informed in advance about the closure and suggested a mailed notice. The board noted that the roadmaster and county emergency services had been notified and that emergency responders were informed when the road was closed.
The township engineer updated members that the Greenbrier Road culvert work is largely complete; final paving and roadside cleanup will occur in the spring.
The board instructed staff to schedule the rentals and to report back on usage and outcomes at a future meeting.
