The board approved the minutes from its Feb. 13 meeting and accepted the bill list showing total expenditures, including liquid fuels, of $38,911.77. They extended the existing Waste Management contract for one year at the same terms and rates currently charged: $67.25 per quarter for service and $19.65 per quarter for recycling.
On road maintenance, the board authorized the rental of a roller at $1,800 for a month and a crack-sealing unit with materials at $6,500. The board also approved purchasing a culvert structure for the Myers Towne/Meijerstown project for $91,200, sending the project out for public bid, and retaining Triad Engineering for geotechnical/compaction testing at an estimated $3,065. The board approved moving forward with the recommended compaction testing and other pre-bid work.
The supervisors voted to proceed with ADA-related adjustments based on a written report from Schaeffer Architects and authorized staff to solicit cost estimates and begin work to address signage, door widths and restroom modifications cited in the report. They also approved transitioning the township’s web presence to Huntington@PADF.net as the official website and asked staff to coordinate with the county to link to it from the county pages.
The board tabled consideration of donations and contracts to the next meeting. The planning/subdivision matter involving JBI (Landeville) received conditional approval from the board pending required outside agency approvals and completion of items identified by the township engineer.
