City council communications on March 4 included an update that the Weber Area RAMP board has recommended several capital awards for Washington Terrace projects in 2025.
Councilmember Cheryl (reported the RAMP board recommendation) said the city was listed among the major projects for 2025 and that Washington Terrace would receive $500,000 for Park Pickleball Plaza Phase 3. She also reported a recommended award of $98,821 for Washington Terrace Elementary’s playground project and $92,000 for Beverly's Terrace Plaza Playhouse for the 2025 season.
Cheryl said the RAMP board—s recommendations are subject to approval by the county commissioners, which typically acts on Tuesdays; she expected the county to consider the list the following week. She credited staff and volunteers who worked on the applications and said staff member Carlos is already working on the pickleball project.
Councilmembers and staff said they were optimistic about the awards and planned to proceed with design and delivery steps once county approval and formal funding notifications are received. Cheryl said they would also report back to the council when grant administration details (timelines and any conditions) are finalized.
The item was presented as an informational update; no formal council action on these awards was taken at the meeting.
